What we do

Here at Porky Pastures, we make great food & skincare that your body will love you for!  It’s that simple.  We use regenerative methods and all natural practices to create the healthiest, most nutritious foods for our family and yours.  All of our meats are pastured, lightly supplemented with non-gmo grains, and never given antibiotics or hormones.  Vegetables, plants and trees are never sprayed, treated, or touched with non-organic fertilizers. ​

How we became farmers

In early 2017 we had the most normal life you could imagine. Tom worked as a full time government contractor at Pax River.  I ran a busy real estate business.  We had just built and moved into our “dream” home in a little country neighborhood with 2 acres and a swing set.  We had toddlers, a boy and a girl. 

This is where things get a little spicy 😉. ​

Raising Backyard Pigs

This course is currently being created as an online offering with an expected release around the beginning of April.

Bread, Butter, & Cheese

Originally an in person class, it was so popular that we're thinking of offering it both in person and online this year.

Tallow & Lard Soap Making

This course will be offered online in the summer of 2024.  I'll teach you how to use tallow & lard to make basic soaps that your skin will love.
